Party With A Purpose?will be held on Friday, November 9, 2012 at?Soundcheck Austin?and will feature musical entertainment, great food and drinks, and a silent auction. The purpose of this party is to assist?Dell Children?s Surgical Global Outreach?in their upcoming trip to serve urology and general surgery needs at?The Moore Pediatric Surgery Center?in Guatemala City.
Dell Children?s Surgical Global Outreach is a new group of surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, techs, pediatric medical support and volunteers whose goal is to bring surgical care to under-served children in other countries.? In partnership with The Shalom Foundation, a team of dedicated doctors and nurses will be able to provide surgical care to the children of Guatemala. Due to chronic malnutrition and poor health conditions, Guatemala?s children suffer from the third worst childhood growth rate in the world behind Bangladesh and Yemen.
The Shalom Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to demonstrating Christian values while providing humanitarian aid to children and their families living in extreme poverty. The organization provides educational opportunities for children and adults, essential food and clean water for the malnourished, community outreach and medical assistance for basic health care, and critical care needs through The Moore Pediatric Surgery Center in Guatemala City.
