Americans Going Smoke-Free for The Great American Smokeout ...

The American Cancer Society is encouraging Americans to put out their cigarettes today for the 37th annual Great American Smokeout.

The organization encourages smokers to use November 15th as a date to make a plan to quit, or actually start on that day.

According to the American Cancer Society, tobacco use remains the single largest preventable cause of disease and premature death in the US, yet about 43.8 million Americans still smoke cigarettes.
